Adults training in Martial Arts at the Koei-Kan Academy experience a refreshing, dynamic and active approach to Karate. We train hard and support each other through the ups and downs. In addition to the desire to learn the karate style, most strive to live active, healthy and balanced lives. We are a highly diverse group, each creating a unique path in Koei-Kan Karate-Do.
Group training is available 6 days a week, Monday - Saturday. Private instruction and individual (open floor) practice times are available throughout the entire week. The program offers full-contact sparring, high-intensity workouts, active and passive meditation, Budo study, Self-defense, Okinawan Weapons (Kobudo) and Teacher/Student coaching (Dokusan).
For Kids aged 4 through their Teens we provide Monday - Saturday training in a fun atmosphere.
We focus on providing a clear path forward through life with incremental improvements and subtle course correction through the years to their maturation to adulthood and eventual ranking to black belt.
We are a balanced art so you would learn Kicks, punches, dodging, self defense, forms, ground work and the application of these techniques through sparring.
Koei-Kan Karate-Do is an original style of Karate-Do that can be traced back to its roots in China, Okinawa, and Japan. Koei-Kan is a very disciplined form of martial arts that has not been changed or Americanized from its traditional ways.
